San Francisco Dental Sleep Medicine focuses exclusively on treating patients suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome, and Chronic Snoring. Our Director, Dr. Douglas Chenin, is an international authority on Dental Sleep Medicine, advanced dental technology, and 3D airway and craniofacial imaging.
Dr. Douglas Chenin treats patients primarily via Oral Appliance Therapy, a medically proven, patient-friendly therapy that is now the most popular CPAP alternative. Dr. Chenin uses state-of-the-art technologies for highest level of diagnostics, and collaborates with Sleep Physicians, ENTs, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologists, and other specialists, to provide the highest level of care for all of his patients.
Dr. Chenin played a key role in developing the world’s most advanced 3D dental imaging technology, which is used in universities, hospitals, and clinics worldwide. He was the Director of Clinical Affairs for Anatomage Inc. where he was instrumental in the development of 3D imaging technology for airway, temporomandibular joint, and craniofacial analysis. He is a highly sought after authority on 3D dental imaging and Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Chenin has collaborated on numerous research projects, he has authored and coauthored an extensive list of professional publications and he presents regularly at professional symposia, conferences, and continuing education courses nationally and internationally. For many years he has been a mentor to hundreds of dentists teaching them how to implement the advanced 3D imaging technology that he helped develop.
